Chris Hyde

Chris brings over 30 years of aquaculture technology expertise, having led businesses and divisions in companies such as ScanBio, OTAQ, Bennex and ScaleAQ. Most recently, he has taken on the role of CEO at Aqura Systems, a start-up developing live harmful algal bloom detection technology. 

Alongside deep sector knowledge, Chris's hands-on experience within SMEs and start-ups brings a valuable insight to board-level decision-making. He also contributes significant governance expertise from over a decade serving as chair and director of nationally funded sports governing bodies, giving him a well-rounded understanding of both private and public sector organisations.
